Dinghy Section
A number of races are held every year for the sailing dinghies. Helmsmen test their skills in various weather conditions inside and outside Marsamxetto Harbour. The main events are the Hector’s Trophy, The Sirap Spring Series and The MMA Autumn Series.
The club organises one-week courses in July and August, run by experienced instructors with the presence of a rescue boat. A First Aid Lecture and presentation of certificates concludes the courses. It also runs the sailing courses offered by Skolasajf on behalf of the the Ministry for Youth and Sport through Kunsill Malti Ghall-Isport, which are subsidised.
Taster Sessions
The VSC offers the possibility for local and foreign associations to attend taster sessions at a minimal fee. Participants are taken on Laser 16 and Wayfarer dinghies escorted by a rescue boat on a cruise around Marsamxetto Harbour. Contact us for more details.
